Re:Â Saving Democracy.
Biden Must Step Down
I am writing to you today with some sadness and a lot of urgency. I, like many other loyal Democrats, feel strongly that President Biden MUST step down.
This is the most important election of our time and will determine the future of the US.
I am fully aware of his terrific accomplishments on behalf of the American people. But it is absolutely critical that we make every effort to win this election. The future of Democracy in America is at stake. And democracy is under attack all over the world.
We must throw everything we have into a strategy that will win the necessary votes in November.
There Are Options For Making A Change Now That Will Excite The Electorate
The Democratic Party has an exceptionally strong base of qualified, even exciting, leaders at the state level across the country. Making this breadth of leadership clear to the general public will both spark interest in the potential for this important election and awaken the interest in younger voters and those of other races and genders in every state in the nation.
An open convention showcasing our stable of key Democratic leaders, offering a platform to showcase our Democratic values, issues, concerns and goals will ignite the electorate in a way Biden, unfortunately, will never be able to do.
It Is Now Time To Pass The Torch
Biden’s courage to publicly “pass the torch†will give him the status in history he deserves as one of America’s best leaders ever! It will give him leadership opportunities worldwide, as well as in the USA, as an “Ambassador for Democracyâ€. The reality of the graceful sacrifice he would make on behalf of his country will adhere to his memory throughout history.
I hope you agree and will recognize there are thousands, maybe millions of other voters who also agree and who need to be fired up by change. They will respect Biden’s sacrifice and will be far more likely to show up at the polls and cast a vote against Trump.
I urge you to act immediately.
Best regards,
